Discernment:
Discernment is the ability to choose that which is best. As a Christian, discernment can only come through the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives; most commonly accomplished through the reading of the scriptures.
Colossians 2:8 warns us of hollow and deceptive philosophies that can so easily take us captive. The solution? To set our minds on "things above."
The Apostle Paul taught that "most things are permissible but not all things are profitable." Too many times, we have focused on personal liberty rather than truly praying for discernment.
